Most lads can remember when they were young ripping out pictures of their heroes from magazines such as Shoot, Match etc etc, these usually ended up stuck to bedroom walls or used to cover exercise books for schools and as such had a very limited life span. It was also a real thrill, and a source of pride at school, if a player from your team was on the front cover, this range of pictures from Football Weekly News takes us back to those days and features some of the front pages from that era. The pictures are all carefully removed from the magazine and the rough edges trimmed, these are then laminated to ensure they stay in good condition. They are then despatched in a hardbacked envelope or cardboard tube to ensure they reach you in perfect condition.
